The guys at Pipers Pricision are at it again! They are playing around with a new prototype Airsoft Strafer MK4 machine gun. The goal of making the Strafer MK4 was to make a cheap, light-weight portable Airsoft BB machine gun; and boy, did they do it!

Patent is pending and rumors are floating that law enforcement and prision systems may use a plastic 6mm version of the Strafer MK4 for riot control. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to be hit by this:

Shooting Mode: Semi, Full Auto
Hop-Up: Yes, Auto
Length: 880mm / 642mm
Weight: 6.2 lbs / 2.9 kg
Rate of Fire: 850 rounds/min
Magazine capacity: 70 rounds
Motor: EG700
Velocity: 270 f/s
Recommended Retail Price: $US330

The AK-47 was manufactured by Avtomat Kalashnikova and was adopted by Russia in 1947. This is where the acronym AK-47 is derived from. The AK-47 has a history of being used by Russians in the past, and at present, is the gun of choice for terrorists and insurgents.

The AK-47 is one of the most hard-wearing and built AEG’s from the world renowned company Tokyo Marui. The metal use on this airsoft is the best of any guns that they have. Next month the Tokyo Marui Type 89 will be releasde, which will beat the AK47 in its metal content. The AK-47 has such a history that it makes your foes run scared.

The AK-47 has many metal parts:
-receiver cover
-metal bolt near the hop up
-trigger and trigger guard
-barrel assembly
-magazine
-sights
-selector switch
-and more.

By the addition of metal to the Tokyo Marui AK-47 the gun now feels realistic and built. The plastic on the airsoft gun is not a cheap looking plastic. By using the plastic they have made the AK-47 look like it is actually real wood.

The “real” AK-47 (Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947) is a gas-operated assault rifle designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov, manufactuered by Russian manufacturer IZH, and used in many Eastern block nations during the Cold War. The real ak 47 is a 4.3kg bi-composite of wood and metal the real beauty of this weapon is its simple to use, it never jams or breaks, you can use it in some of the most hostile landscapes on the planet, it will still function.

From 1947 To this day between 30 and 50 million copies and variations of the AK – 47 have been produced world wide, making it the most widely used rifle in the world. The tokyo Marui ak-47 airsoft variant is just as fun. This AEG is a fully licensed and trademarked AK47 airsoft gun Before I get into the actual review of this weapon here are some notable features:

Full Size 1:1 Automatic Airsoft AK47 – 220 +fps w/ 0.12 g BB – Battery and Charger Included – Adjustable Hop Up – Safety Goggles Included – Mag: 100 Rounds – Perfect Entry Level AEG This is a Tokyo Marui Replica Fully Automatic AK 47 Airsoft Rifle Shoots powerfully at 250-200 fps.

On receiving the Rifle, coming brand new in the box. setting it up is easy enough, Its a nice realistic feel with the weight you would expect from a machine like this. featuring an adjustable Hop Up. On shooting the ak47 rifle for the first time I smiled alot . For an AEG its accuracy is acceptable.

Firing at 270FPS its not the most powerful AEG on the market but would do the job in any skirmish. That said it is also upgradable to higher power, please refer to your local airsoft store for upgrade job.

There are many types of airsoft machine/automatic guns on the market. E ach type and model has a different range in power, magazine capacity, FPS (feet per second) and ROF (rate of fire). Electric powered airsoft guns or automatic electric guns (AEGs) seem to be the most popular because of their high power and ease of use. The three biggest manufactures of automatic airsoft guns are Tokyo Marui, Classic Army and ICS (I Chih Shivan Enterprise Co. Ltd.).

Tokyo Marui has one of the best and most popular airsoft machine guns and their products now dominate the world market. Prices range from 200 to 400 dollars, approximately. The more popular models include AK series such as AK47, AK47 Spetznatz; MP series like MP5 A4, Tokyo Marui MP5SD5, Tokyo Marui MP5SD6, Full Metal UZI, Tokyo Marui SG 552 SEALS and MP5K-PDW. Most of these models come with a rechargeable battery, 280–300 FPS (feet per second), and ROF (rate of fire) range from 600-900 rounds per minute.Classic Army, the airsoft gun company based in Hong Kong, has also produced a range of popular airsoft machine gun models. The MP5 series is very popular with cost ranging approximately 250-300 dollars.

For example, the Classic Army MP5SD6 cost s around 325 dollars and features full Metal Body, detachable silencer, Collapsible Stock, 8.4V mini battery, 315 FPS and 200 round high capacity magazine.ICS, based in Taiwan is also another big manufacturer of automatic electric guns (AEGs) and airsoft machine guns.
